2D Platformer: Alien Crusher
This is my 2D Platformer Project: Alien Crusher
Modifications:
- Implemented gravity reversal mechanic for player characters. So that levels can be achieved with different solutions. Or can be completed both to gain more points.
- Added gravity reversed enemies.
- Introduced unlockable zones throughout the game world, encouraging exploration and discovery.
- Introduced illusion walls within levels to create dynamic puzzles and challenges.
- Created special boss zone that trigger challenging boss encounter upon entry.
- Boss encounter includes change of theme music, point of on return elements to increase pressure on player.
- Enhanced immersion with dialogue interactions between player and boss.
- Added health bar and name holder for boss, providing players with better feedback during boss battles.
- Diversified enemy encounters with various move speed multipliers and scales for each enemy type.
- Enhanced visual interest by animating the main menu with animation on main character.
- Improved gameplay experience by having defeated enemies drop valuable shards and keys.
- Altered shards value in points to provide a more balanced reward system.
- Revamped user interface (UI) and tutorial screens with visually appealing pixel art assets made by me.
- Included a cooldown tracker on the UI to manage the gravity reversal ability effectively.
- Added depth to boss battle with distinctive summoning behavior for boss encounter.
- Provided players with better guidance by including a dedicated tutorial level.
- Crafted engaging gameplay experiences with unique level layouts for second level.
All new aspects of this project, were created by me.
