This is my 2D Platformer Project: Alien Crusher


Modifications:

  1. Implemented gravity reversal mechanic for player characters. So that levels can be achieved with different solutions. Or can be completed both to gain more points.
  2. Added gravity reversed enemies.
  3. Introduced unlockable zones throughout the game world, encouraging exploration and discovery.
  4. Introduced illusion walls within levels to create dynamic puzzles and challenges.
  5. Created special boss zone that trigger challenging boss encounter upon entry.
  6. Boss encounter includes change of theme music, point of on return elements to increase pressure on player.
  7. Enhanced immersion with dialogue interactions between player and boss.
  8. Added health bar and name holder for boss, providing players with better feedback during boss battles.
  9. Diversified enemy encounters with various move speed multipliers and scales for each enemy type.
  10. Enhanced visual interest by animating the main menu with animation on main character.
  11. Improved gameplay experience by having defeated enemies drop valuable shards and keys.
  12. Altered shards value in points to provide a more balanced reward system.
  13. Revamped user interface (UI) and tutorial screens with visually appealing pixel art assets made by me.
  14. Included a cooldown tracker on the UI to manage the gravity reversal ability effectively.
  15. Added depth to boss battle with distinctive summoning behavior for boss encounter.
  16. Provided players with better guidance by including a dedicated tutorial level.
  17. Crafted engaging gameplay experiences with unique level layouts for second level.
